Paul John Kobiela, 71, of Upper Darby, PA passed away suddenly on June 2, 2021. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, John Kobiela and Margareta (Bierl) Kobiela Fiorentino and his beloved dog Billy Martin. Beloved Brother of Susan (Fiorentino) Mabry (Brian) of Kodak, TN. Beloved Uncle of Brian Richard Mabry (Laken) of Nashville, TN and Joshua Jackson Mabry of Kodak, TN. Paul was born in Schwandorf, Germany and moved with his parents to Philadelphia when he was a year old. They lived on North 19 th Street. He attended St. Ladislaus grade school and graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School. Paul had many happy memories hanging with friends from his old neighborhood “the nineteenth street gang.” Paul served in Vietnam and was a Bronze Star Medal recipient. Paul was an advocate for all wounded veterans and supported many veteran charities. Paul spent the majority of his career with IBM in San Jose, CA before he took early retirement and moved back to the Philadelphia area to be closer to his family. Paul loved attending his nephews’ baseball and football games and could be found rooting for them on the sidelines. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Beech Springs Baptist Church, 337 W Mt. Rd, Kodak, TN 37764.
