Joseph G Yinger, age 94 of Broomall, PA passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Barbara (nee Wilson) Yinger and his brothers Richard and Robert. Survived by his daughters Lauran Rodgers (Judge) and Beth Scott (Jeffrey). Also survived by his 2 granddaughters, Tessa Leathern (Brandon) and Samantha Rodgers.
Joseph graduated from Pleasantville High School (NJ) in 1946. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He missed active duty but enjoyed his time spent sailing around Europe. After the Navy he used the GI bill to enroll in engineering school, learning how to design HVAC systems. Upon graduation in 1956 he began working at Honeywell in Philadelphia, PA. During his employment at Honeywell he married his wife Barbara, who sadly passed away in 2009. After leaving Honeywell he began working with the very well respected engineering firm, Pennell & Wiltberger, in Philadelphia, PA. The company’s clients included large Philadelphia area hospitals and Atlantic City casinos. He remained at this firm until his retirement at age 70.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
