John worked for SEPTA, as a Chief Instructor. He enjoyed all Phila Sports, especially the Phillies. John enjoyed Horse Racing, Golf, Fishing, and Bowling.
John is pre-deceased by his daughter: the late Paula, Annette Byers and his sister: the late Gail McNeil.
John is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean (nee Pellak), Children: Dallett Byers, Barbara Podrost (Stephen), and Darleen Marie Loyd (Matthew), Brother: Dwight W. Byers, Jr.
And 5 Grandchildren: Crystal & Eric Podrost, Julian, Eloise, & George Loyd.
Relatives and friends may attend a viewing Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Bethany Church 5 N. Concord Ave., Havertown PA from 9 AM to 10:15 AM. Funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM. “All in Church”. Interment, Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia. In lieu of, flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name to Special Olympics of Delaware county, would be appreciated.
