1940 -2018 Catania Our Beloved Helene Catania (nee Berezny), age 77, a long time resident of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Beloved wife of Francis P. Catania, Loving mother of Anthony P. Catania (Nancy), John F. Catania (friend Tanisha). Devoted Grandmother of Ryan and Nicole Catania. Dear Sister of Joan Iffland (Curt) and John Berezny (Chris). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Helene enjoyed traveling with her husband Frank to their home in Ocean City, N.J., an avid reader and especially loved her family. Relatives and Friends may attend a visitation for Helene on Saturday, 3/3/2018, after 11:00am at the Kish Funeral Home, Inc., 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008, Funeral Service to follow at 12:30pm. Interment Private. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helene’s memory to the Abramson Cancer Center at pennmedicine.org/abramson/donate would be appreciated.

During all the years I knew Helene from her wedding day to my brother Frank until her death, she remained consistent to one overriding principal: complete and total dedication to the welfare of her family. While Frank was attending night school at St Joseph's or serving active duty in the Navy she provided for all her family's needs regardless of the sacrifices she had to make. She was loved and we will miss her.
