SIMON Annetta A. “Nancy”, age 87, of North Wales, formerly of Philadelphia, on August 7, 2018. Beloved daughter of the late Wilhelmina (nee Staples) and John Simon, she is survived by her many cousins. Born in 1930, Nancy attended St. Raphael’s Grade School and West Catholic Girls (1944-1948) and was a member of the Orchestra at West Catholic and loved music all her life. Her family moved to St. Barnabas Parish and she joined the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1948 where she taught at St. Timothy’s. She left the St. Joseph Community but her spirit remained there. Nancy went on to work for Bell Telephone for 30 years and drove a school bus for 10 years, but the Sisters of St. Joseph remained her life’s interest. She ran fund raisers for the Chapel at Villa St. Joseph and Nancy and her mother were personal contributors to building the Chapel. For her 80th birthday, Nancy bought herself a bright blue Mustang. After minor surgery in 2011, she rehabbed at Saint Joseph Villa, then in March 2012 she moved to an Assisted Living Facility, Park Creek Place in North Wales. All of Nancy’s family was the most important part of her life. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, August 10th at 10:30 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Fernwood Cemetery.
