SIGNORA 1940-2017 Louis P. “Lou”, age 76 of Prospect Park, on February 22, 2017. Loving father of Christine A. and Michael L Signora (Michelle); dear grandfather of Eden, Chaz, Talia and Jack. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Signora, many nieces and nephews and his longtime caregivers and friends, Therese and Paul DiGiacobbe and their family. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Rose Signora, sisters Connie Signora and Roseanne Signora and his brother, Al Signora. Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia Lou was a 1958 graduate of Bartram High School where he lettered in track and soccer. He served honorably as an Infantry Corporal, Lima Company 8th Marines 2nd Marine Division from 1958-1962. While stationed in Key West, Florida, Lou served on the Honor Guard that welcomed President Kennedy to the Nuclear Submarine Base. He moved to Prospect Park to start his family and stayed there for the remainder of his life. He worked as a manufacturing engineer with Boeing for 33 years. Longtime member of St. Madeline’s Parish and the Marine Corps League. Lou was one of the founding members of the Prospect Park Boys Club. Later in life Lou enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lou’s name to Prospect Park Fire Company, 1001 Lincoln Ave. Prospect Park, PA 19076. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Tuesday, 9:30 AM at St. Madelines’s Church, 110 Park Street, Ridley Park, PA 19078. Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM. Interment Ss.
