SCOTT Leila T. “Lil” (nee Shockey), age 96, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of SW Phila., on March 20, 2017. Beloved wife of the late John J. Scott (1997), loving mother of Kathleen Hansen (Jack), Joseph F. Scott, Thomas A. Scott (J. Gonzalez), Paul J. Scott (Maryann) and Michael F. Scott (Serena) and the late Mary A. Sweeney, James B. Scott and John J. Scott, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Miller, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, her son-in-law, Larry Sweeney and she was Aunt Woodie to many loving nieces and nephews. Lil enjoyed road trips to Florida and Indiana with her husband as well as trips to his reunions with this shipmates from the Navy. She enjoyed her home and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Gold Star Mother, losing her son, Jimmy, in Vietnam. Lil volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and she loved to Jitterbug. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Thursday evening, 7-9 PM and Friday morning, 9-10:15 AM at the Kish Funeral Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Funeral Mass 11 AM, St. Andrew’s Church. Interment Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Phila. PA 19106.
